If you're commuting by TTC, bus routes and streetcars run along every major street. Ossington subway station is also close by. For outdoor recreation, George Ben Park and Fred Hamilton Playground are pleasant spaces for playing outside. Healy Willan Park has a wading pool, playground, and grassy space for picnics. 

What NOT to Expect: This area really has everything. The only thing you might want to travel for are water views. For lakeside afternoons, hop on the TTC and head south.

A Day in the Life: Have coffee on the deck of your Little Italy loft. Watch people walking by on their way to the park and the shops. Then, stroll down the block for a breakfast sandwich at the cafe on the corner. Chat with your neighbours while you eat, then window shop along College Street. Pick up a new cookbook, then buy some ingredients for a recipe at the vegetable market. Meet your friend at the park for an afternoon reading and laughing in the sun.
