What to Expect: Outdoor and indoor entertainment. Fort York has many parks, including Coronation Park, Garrison Common, and June Callwood Park. The Historic Fort York grounds, Armoury, and museums are fascinating places to discover. The landmark Princess Gates and surrounding green space lead to Exhibition Place, where exciting events take place all year. The Fort offers Family Day where kids can bake at a hearth and play old-fashioned games. Visit nearby King West for more shopping and dining.
What NOT to Expect: Fort York doesn’t offer single family homes. Also, some amenities are lacking, but Liberty Village is walking distance for night life, and there are more grocery stores and dining options being added.
A Day in the Life: See the sun rise over the water from your Fort York condo. After breakfast at the cafe, ride your bike along Martin Goodman Trail where a baseball game has started up in the park. Have a slice with a friend at the pizzeria, then head to the One of a Kind Show for the afternoon and pick up a purse made from a vinyl record. Have dinner at a local restaurant, then see the country concert at Budweiser Stage. You don’t have to worry about parking like the other fans! While the crowd searches for their cars, you walk to your Fort York condo and watch the boats sailing back to shore.
