Regent Park

What to know and love about this Toronto neighbourhood

Welcome to Regent Park

Regent Park is a rapidly evolving neighbourhood with a great sense of community. Regent Park's billion dollar 15 year revitalization project (started in 2005) is well underway. The project's design has been praised for it's innovative use of public and private spaces, and of course it's famous recreation destinations. Since Regent Park was once a lower income neighbourhood, it's still a great place to buy if you're an investor or are looking for more for your money. With Regent Park condos you'll get more square footage and a modern condo for a more reasonable price than other downtown areas.

The Regent Park Aquatic Centre is a city-wide favourite, with incredible pools and activities. Daniels Spectrum is the neighbourhood's active community centre that offers a variety of programs and local art displays.  Regent Park is a neighbourhood with a very bright future and an already well established sense of community!

 “you’ll love”

The vibrant public spaces. Daniels Spectrum offers displays of local artist's work and hosts a variety of programs for residents. Whether you're an adult looking to get involved in the workshops for Regent Park Film Festival, or a kid who wants to learn how to paint, there is something for you! Families with kids will love the aquatic centre and the playground at the neighbourhood's six-acre park.

what its like to live here

What to Expect: Fun indoors and out, all year round. You can get outside in the neighbourhood's parks, swim at the aquatic centre, and take part in local events and classes. Riverdale Farm is in walking distance for weekend outings, and the Distillery District is also close by. The Dundas Streetcar will take you to the core of downtown, while the Queen Streetcar connects to restaurants and shops in Leslieville and even patios in The Beach!

What NOT to Expect: A lot of restaurants and stores. There is a grocery store and restaurant in the heart of Regent Park, and Leslieville is close by, but there isn't a wide variety of walkable businesses (yet!)

A Day in the Life: Have coffee on the rooftop garden at your new Regent Park condo, before strolling over to the community centre for your painting class. Then, have lunch with your friends from class at Paintbox Bistro. After picking your kids up from a birthday party, take them to the playground. As evening rolls around hop on the Queen Streetcar to your favourite Mexican restaurant in Leslieville. Return home to your condo and unwind on the balcony overlooking the park. Maybe tomorrow you'll go for a morning swim with the whole family!

In Summary: Regent Park has redefined urban planning by focusing on modern design, community connection, and public spaces.
