Welcome to Willowdale

Willowdale is a neighbourhood in North York that has become what The Star called, “Toronto’s hottest new neighbourhood.” The area is comprised of beautiful modern homes and luxurious condos, along with spectacular shopping and dining options. The residential streets in the neighbourhood include bungalows, newly built homes and lush boulevards. Yonge Street offers entertainment venues like the Toronto Centre for the Arts and Cineplex’s Empress Theatre.


There are also a variety of cafes, restaurants, and shops. Families with children choose real estate in Willowdale because of spacious parks, libraries, and many great schools. Willowdale Park and Burnett Park are some of the favourite local recreation spots. The recreation. Willowdale has many great parks, art galleries, community centres, and sporting venues. Whether you're into bike riding or tennis, there are plenty of places to join in on the fun. Edithvale Park, Abbotsford Park, Dempsey Park and Bathurst Park are all places where you can enjoy the outdoors. Playgrounds, tennis courts, and trails are located throughout the area. Even York Cemetery is a scenic place where residents enjoy taking a walk along charming treed pathways. Mitchell Field Community Centre and Park offer great recreation, with an outdoor swimming pool, gym, basketball court, and party rooms.

Real estate in Willowdale is popular with people of all ages. The majority are between 20-64, and roughly twenty percent of the population are seniors over the age of 65. There are also many young working professionals in their twenties and thirties who choose to buy condos for sale in Willowdale

What to Expect: Shopping and parks. Willowdale offers many places to walk the dog, take the kids, or enjoy a stroll in nature. The parks are spread out throughout the neighbourhood, so wherever you live there’s likely a park nearby. There are also a variety of stores along Yonge Street, and Bayview Village Shopping Centre is also close by if you're looking for a state of the art shopping mall. Commuting by TTC won’t take long, since the Sheppard-Yonge subway station and North York Centre subway station are both located in Willowdale. You can drive to Highway 401 in under fifteen minutes. 


What NOT to Expect: Despite a few hotspots, there isn’t a strong night life in Willowdale. The subway is nearby if you want to commute to downtown clubs. 


A Day in the Life: Your new Willowdale condo overlooks a canopy of trees in the parkette across the street. Walk through the park on your way to breakfast at Mohseni Square’s best coffee shop. Meet your tennis partner at the park for a friendly doubles match that quickly gets competitive. Get a well-deserved lunch after the match at your partner’s favourite sushi restaurant. Then, walk to your weekend art class at the local community centre, where you meet some of your new neighbours among the easels. Invite them to dinner and celebrate your recent move to Willowdale. It already feels like home!
